The garden is certainly appreciating the warm-ish spring-time weather. Knowing last year though, we still have a few more months of mush to get through before we can really get our hopes up. Bruce just transplanted 75 tomato plants into larger containers and we're excitedly looking forward to doing our own vegetable garden this year. It was a balmy 58 degrees outside today so I was cleaning up some of the flower beds in preparation for planting season. I didn't get more pictures yet, but will post more later. Mind you, between the two of us we don't know much about northern climate gardening since the last several years were spent in Florida, which to be honest, made gardening a bit of a breeze. Plants wanted to be lush and green in that climate.
Life has been good. Both of us have been busy and blessed with work. My work had some layoffs and paycuts recently but I am just grateful to still be there.
We're on a Green Smoothie kick (recommended by my doctor's office) as of mid February and I am definitely feeling many health benefits within the first five weeks. You can read more on my personal blog, tia (see sidebar) - including some recipe suggestions if you are feeling curious. They are YUMMY!
The kittens are doing well. They are curious about everything and keep us entertained. Just today, we got to watch a "King of the Hill" wrestling match over the little woven basket - adorable.
